About this work

Sauce boat on a saucer of porcelain with a lobed rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, purple, black and gold. The boat is oval, on a high flaring foot and with a handle ending in a lion's head on one side and a wide pouring spout on the other. The saucer is oval and tapers to a point on one side. Decorated with various flowers and filler flowers. From the lobed, golden rim, leafy vines in gold. Golden line above the foot. Saucer marked on the underside with 'DENUELLE/ Boulevard St. Denis 18/ à Paris'. Rim and foot of the boat damaged.
