About this work

Brush with a rosewood handle, inlaid with mother-of-pearl and copper. The raised central panel features an engraved mother-of-pearl vase with a tulip on a straight stem and a rosette in the center. The tulip is flanked by inlaid copper vines with flower calices in mother-of-pearl. Bands with vines and double copper borders are applied around the central panel. The raised edges display a braided band with rosettes and flower calices in mother-of-pearl in copper. Signed below the vase: CVR.
