About this work
The pear-shaped body rests on a straight base. The pot has a spout-shaped spout and a C-shaped curved ebony handle with silver fittings; the upper one is round in shape and decorated on both sides with a rosette. The convex, hinged lid is slightly constricted underneath and has a spherical knob. Cable borders run along the upper edge of the body, on the underside of the knob and in the middle thereof. On the wall of the pot the coat of arms of Clifford with the crest and supporters is engraved.
