About this work

The dress is constructed from three overlapping layers of crêpe georgette; a white underdress, an 'eau de nil' dress and a white and black dress. As a result, the whole has acquired a bluish-green glow. Strikingly contemporary are the circles of rolled black satin ribbon on the white skirt and the black-white knotted fringe at the waist. The skirt is foot-free and spacious enough to allow sufficient freedom of movement.
