About this work

Barometer and thermometer. The scale plates and mercury tubes are mounted on a walnut board, crowned by a segmental pediment with an ascending sun. Three twisted vases stand on the pediment. The instrument also features carved rosettes and drapery. Two hanging ornaments hang at the bottom. On the central scale plate is the maker's name: Ruspinus Fecit Amst.
