About this work

Rectangular ebony table decorated with carving. The four legs and stretchers are twisted and decorated with plaitwork. The side rails are decorated in relief against a sandstone background with leaf vines with flower buds and rosettes; on the front and back rail, a narrow frieze with similar carving, including stylized volute borders with foliage. The rails are profiled at the back. The rectangular top, consisting of two parts, has a semicircular profiled edge.
