About this work

Penant mirror in a frame of gilded wood with "en paté" applied ornaments. The frame is decorated all around with a pearl border and alternating palmettes and flower cups; at the corners rosettes. The loose rectangular lying insert has in the middle a large rosette flanked by symmetrically curling leaf scrolls ending in small rosettes. The top is closed by a profiled continuous pearl border. On the bottom rule two scrolls, in the middle tied together by a ribbon with flowers.
