About this work
Semi-circular, flat purse of cerise satin embroidered with symmetrical flower and leaf motif in gold thread, with drawstring and silk tassels. Model: two flaps with each eight festooned holes. On the seams edged with cord of gold thread. Twisted silk cord with tassels of silk fringe. Lined with cerise silk. Decoration: in the middle a tulip surrounded by thin silk branches from a leaf rosette and acanthus scrolls. Decoration on front and back is the same.
