About this work

Plate or dish of porcelain, painted on the glaze in sepia and gold. On the flat surface, a medallion containing three men. One man gestures toward a burning column with the inscription 'unauslöschlich' (indelible), while the other two watch. Above the medallion, a bow and a garland. The rim is modeled in a laurel wreath and highlighted with gold. Marked on the underside with F-3 and E 3+S.
