About this work

Milk jug of porcelain with a cylindrical body, triangular spout emerging from the side, and angular handle, painted on the glaze in sepia and gold. On the body, twice a medallion, in one a classically dressed woman kneeling with an object in her hands, and in the other a putto with a floral wreath. Above the medallions, a garland with above it a band with a leafy vine. The base of the spout is modeled as a flower, with above it a painted rosette. The handle with gold lines, dots, and floral motifs. Gold line on the neck. Lid with a leafy vine and a finial in the form of a pinecone. Marked on the underside with F-I and BÖ and D1.
