About this work
Fire screen panel of silk damask with embroidery of multicolored silk and silver thread, edged with gold and silver lace. The whole is stretched on a wooden frame. The embroidery features a large floral pattern, and in the lower field a horn-shaped shell from which branches with apples and grape clusters and flower stems emerge.
