Fragment of chiné silk cut for a chair seat

Fragment of chiné silk with flower clusters on a striped ground. Model: cut as a chair seat with two notches for the backrest. Ground of transverse stripes in beige and off-white, in gros de Tours (ripped silk) with moiré, which arose symmetrically on either side of a fabric fold. Pattern: two types of flower bouquets: a large one of rose-red roses with yellow/red and lilac/purple flowers arranged between them. A smaller bouquet consists of rose and red open flowers with yellow hearts. Loose buds are scattered among them.
