About this work
Collar for a boy of natural-coloured knotted lace: frivolité. Square shoulder collar, high-necked, with a straight and wide gathered strip with shell border. The collar closes in the middle front with three small mother-of-pearl buttons. The pattern consists exclusively of loops in configurations of squares with in the centre a circle with four loops inside. In the body the squares stand in diagonal rows and in the border in straight rows. The shell border consists of flowers with three petals made with loops and finished with arches.
