About this work
Octagonal porcelain bowl, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow and black. On the outer wall two birds near a flowering plant (prunus). The inner rim with flower scrolls. Brown rim. Marked on the underside in underglaze blue, where a flower branch is painted over in enamel. The bowl is in the style of Japanese Kakiemon porcelain.
