About this work

Porcelain bowl with a lobed edge, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, and black. On the inner wall five compartments with trees (e.g., pine) in light relief. In enamel colors on the bottom two deer by a trough. On the outer wall floral scrolls and empty medallions. Enamel decoration possibly added later in Japan or Europe. Old label on the underside with 'Collectie Westendorp/ 119'. Brown rim. Arita, Kakiemon style.
