About this work

Porcelain plate with a scalloped edge, painted in underglaze blue with rocks, and on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, and black with on the field a pot with prunus and on the rim two birds between prunus and bamboo. Around the field and along the rim a double underglaze blue line. On the back leaf scrolls in underglaze blue. Three firing marks in the foot ring. A crack and a chip in the rim. Old label on the underside with 'Collectie Westendorp/ 7'. Kakiemon style.
