About this work

Octagonal porcelain bowl with a flared rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow and black, with a hōō on one side of the outer wall and a plum branch on the other, two pumpkins with leaves on the bottom of the interior, and symmetrical floral and foliate scrolls on the rim. Brown rim. Old label on the underside reading 'Collectie Westendorp/ 116'. Kakiemon.
