About this work
Porcelain cup on a spreading foot with a high, curled handle, painted in underglaze blue and with gold on the glaze. The outer wall features Gothic arch decoration against a blue background. The foot, rim, handle, and half of the inner wall are covered in gold. A modeled rosette is in the curl of the handle.
