About this work

Porcelain figure on a rectangular base in the form of a centaur. Painted in underglaze blue, red, green, yellow, purple, brown, black, and with gold on the glaze. The centaur carries a fruit basket with grapes and apples on his shoulder and has a boy on his back, also surrounded by fruit. The centaur is kneeling but in the motion of rising. On the base, grass, flowers, and two bands with gold lines and compartments. Marked on the underside with the scepter, the number 52, the red apple with K.P.M., the jubilee mark with the monogram K.P. and the date 1703-1913, a triangle with the year letter N. (June 1913, model from 1912) and the model number 10180. Signed on the side of the base with 'W. WIDEMANN'. Art Nouveau.
