Strip of bobbin lace with two daisies and a cluster flower next to a hanging flower with nine lobes

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: fine Brussels floral work. The repeating pattern consists of a flower with nine elongated lobes and a small oval centre, hanging from a curved stem from top to bottom of the strip. Between the successive hanging flowers are two daisies set diagonally and a cluster flower with circular florets. The motifs are connected by a picoted plait ground. They are worked in openworked linen stitch with cutouts and feature thin and thicker contour threads. In some of the openworked petals or centres, blocks are worked in shape stitch. The top edge of the strip is finished with a separate bobbin lace band. The shell edge derives from the pattern and is finished with picots.
