Lady's Purse of Appliqué Lace with Split Flower Branch and Cup Flowers

Ladies' cravat of natural-colored Brussels appliqué lace: Brussels bobbin lace applied to machine-made tulle. Narrow elongated model, with widened and rounded ends. Symmetrical pattern with an elongated central field scattered with festooned rings (needle lace) and upon which one row of flower sprigs stands, mirrored from the center. A split flower sprig at each end closes the row. On the sprig two large cup-shaped flowers and some smaller cup-shaped flowers. One cup-shaped flower stands in the central field, the other hangs together with two large feather-shaped leaves downwards and forms the end of the cravat. The shells along the outer edge of the cravat consist of small rosette flowers, which increase in size towards the ends and between which a leaf occasionally appears. Along the inner edge of the rosette border runs a pearl border (needle lace), behind which the tulle has been cut away. The motifs are made in net stitch and linen stitch with openwork edges.
