About this work
Chair of oak wood resting on four tapering legs. The rear legs continue into the back stiles, which widen towards the top. The legs are connected to each other by rails on which the seat rests. The raised central top rail of the back contains an inlaid circle of ebony and four smaller inlaid circles of burr oak. Between the top rail and the bottom rail is a wide central stile with three openwork bands. The seat is upholstered in yellow-brown ribbed velvet, secured with nails.
