About this work

Hat of black laiton, rose silk gauze, rose moiré bows, and artificial flowers. The model consists of a flat crown of open garland laiton with a scalloped edge, with a counter-set pleated, scalloped, and festoon-stitched brim of silk gauze, worked up high at the front. Radiating twigs are inserted on top with fine green and clusters of white/rose flowers and buds. Worked up at the front with two bows of soft rose moiré silk, in six loops, and another such bow inside against the brim.
