About this work

Mahogany table standing on four splayed legs. Both halfway up and at the top, the four legs are connected to each other by an X-shaped cross. A round lower shelf rests on the cross halfway up the legs. An octagonal tabletop with a wide molded edge rests on the cross at the top. The center of the tabletop is inlaid with a cross-shaped motif with knobs in ebony. The rails forming the X-shaped cross under the tabletop have rounded ends that visually continue into the legs. The heads of the screws and pins are visible on the rounded ends.
