Taper with openwork motifs

The lamp is composed of many parts. These are provided with etched and chased or sawn vine ornament (including bird motifs in the shade). They have a round stand ring placed on four feet, a stem which tapers from the stand ring to the middle with three vertical ribs, two connecting pieces placed in line with each other for the two bulbous flared or constricted parts of the shade. Where these meet, a decorative fringe of small glass beads is also attached, in which butterflies and dragonflies can be recognised. This fringe serves to mask the electric lamp to be attached with a bayonet fitting. In the stand ring and stem some green stones or glass pieces are mounted.
