About this work
Napkin of linen damask with flowers, leaves, fruits on branches, a stork, a squirrel and a butterfly. In the center the monogram DRMB, in the upper corners the coat of arms of Rutgers and in the lower corners the coat of arms of Block. The napkin belongs to a set of five napkins (BK-1973-194-A to BK-1973-194-F) made for David Rutgers (1629-1707) and his wife Margaretha Block (1638-1702).
