About this work

Coarse linen pillowcase with closure by means of a white ribbon drawn through a blind hole. Blind hole mark: ADW 8. Note: Maker's mark of Anna (van Haersma) de With (-van Vierssen). Cornelis Martinus van Haersma de With (1799-1869) married Anna Frederika van Vierssen (1802-1884) in 1823.
