Bodice composed of grey-beige shot silk with pink roses, green plain gauze, and yellow-green velvet. Model: blouson, ending in a point at the front and back with a low boat neck and puffed half-length sleeves. The bodice is constructed from plain gauze, shot silk, velvet, and velvet ribbon. Lined with pink taffeta and boned. Lacing closure at the center back. Four square shoulder pieces of double-folded velvet lined with light green satin on the puffed sleeves. The pointed skirt is entirely of velvet. Attached over the bodice is a large collar ending in long points of needle lace in the neo-Renaissance style. Due to the complex process invented in the 19th century, needle lace was very expensive.
