About this work
Hat of fine, smooth straw, black taffeta and black ostrich feathers. Model: Very flat dome, slightly oval, filled inside with hair. Very wide, flat brim, above which a taffeta, with thick piping, is sewn on the outside. Along the base of the dome a continuous wreath of black ostrich feathers, tapering slightly to a point from behind.
