About this work

Hat of aubergine-colored velvet. Flat crown, halved from the back, with a wide back loop. From the front a slightly projecting fold containing a laiton circle. Stiff straw interlining. Gimped small, black voile. On the left the end is tied in a bow, upon which a tuft of fine spherical artificial flowers in pink, lilac, purple and grey. Two matching hat pins. With sewn-in label bearing the address: Elysées 04-20/Jeanne/Malifaud/33 Rue de Berri PARIS.
