About this work
Diadem or belt of silver brocade and rhinestones. Stage prop? Reinforced frame with a triangular upright center piece. Through the tassels, both a short and a long band can be pulled for attachment, so it could have served for the circumference of the head or waist. Originally worn with the empire japon of white batiste with silver branches and stripes.
