A band of gold-turreted leather over the seam where the two quarters meet at the heel. The cut of the vamp extends to halfway along the instep. The quarters are set at right angles to the vamp. An ankle strap is attached to the right quarter. On the left quarter, a beige changeant button with a metallic button in the center is attached via a metal eyelet. The front of the heel slopes straight down at a rounded corner. The sides and back of the heel slope inward, making the heel narrower toward the bottom. The heel is covered with gold-turreted leather. A leather counter is nailed to the heel with three nails and a leather sole. Quarters lined with brown leather. Vamp lined with ivory-colored linen. The insole is of brown leather. Decoration: A double band of woven gold thread diagonally across the forefoot.
