About this work

Folding fan, with scalloped upper border, with a leaf of silk gauze on which gold and silver-colored lovers are sewn in various forms, centrally on the leaf a shell motif. Mount of ivory (?), 10 slender legs, decoration is worked and gilded. The fan ring is of copper with locking pin and disc of ivory (?). Tassel of silk. The upper and lower edges of the leaf are finished with gold lace picot. The pencil underdrawing is still visible in some places.
