About this work

Cup and cover of painted porcelain. On one side of the cup is a reclining Venus with Cupid in a landscape, and on the other side the monogram AJK, both in an oval medallion cut out in a royal blue ground. The cover similarly features two winged hearts on one side and the monogram EPK on the other. The cup is marked.
