About this work

Oriental carpet, Ghiordes prayer rug with transverse panels. In the central field a cornflower-blue mihrab with a hanging oil lamp and a flowering branch in a vase. The upper and lower transverse panels are dark blue. Multiple border. The middle one consists of seven stripes. Knot: Ghiordes knot.
