About this work

Saddlebag of knotted wool, Jaffi Kurdistan-Mosul. The central field is a small square divided by a grid into lozenges, within which are cross-flowers. A quadruple border; the broad blocked border with rosette flowers. A slit beard at the top. The back is of flat weave with stripes.
