Hat of black castor or silk velvet (?). Dressed model, shallow, slightly curved box shape, with only the front a standing, inwardly curved wall, higher than the back. Smoothly sloping to the right. A wide, spreading aigrette or paradise feather (?) of black and white, laid to the right, with upward-curled curls. Lining of black moiré silk.
