About this work
The pointed oval tea caddy has a hinged lid. Along the underside of the widening body runs a pearl border. The lid has a slightly vaulted wall and a flat top, both surrounded by a pearl border. The caddy is fitted with a lock and a silver key. On the lid is a later-added monogram in the Neo-Gothic style of the letters ILAC under an English crest.
