About this work
The pointed oval caddy rests on a vaulted foot with a slightly widened foot rim. The vaulted, widening body has slightly raised sides. The double-vaulted, hinged lid has a long straight wall and is crowned by a ribbed, bulbous ebony knob with a silver plate. The lid is closed by a lip operated by a push-button on the front of the caddy. Fillet borders run along the top of the foot and the underside of the lid.
