About this work

Little shoe with a front flap of silk embroidery on canvas, with a pattern of blue starflowers on a yellow ground with a green network of red squares and white dots. Model: Wide forefoot, pointed toe. The heel stands halfway along the length and is covered with blue rough leather. White stitching runs along the edge of the heel. The front of the heel runs in a rounded corner from the beginning of the length straight down. The back of the heel runs in a rounded corner straight down. The transition from the back of the heel to the sides of the heel goes at an angle. Front flap lined with ivory white glazed leather. Between the front flap and the sole is a band of ivory white glazed leather stitched. The insole is of dark brown leather. The sole is of dark brown leather. The part of the sole that touches the ground is of rough leather.
