About this work
Sherd of a plate, of blue-painted faience. The sherd is part of the flat surface and is decorated with the coat of arms of Vlissingen, below which the inscription VLISSINGHE. On the other side, a standing figure (Chinese) with a shield (?) is painted. The sherd is a bottom find from Leiden.
