About this work

Popinjay cape of sateen with a white ground with blue leaves edged in red, circular model with standing collar. Lined with beige wool. Fastening at the front center with copper hook and eye. At the neck a bias tape on which '1783' is embroidered in light purple silk in cross-stitch.
