About this work
Baby's cap consisting of three pattes, of quilted cotton (point de Marseille) with a symmetrical floral fantasy pattern. Model: elongated central piece with rounded parts on either side. Lined with pink silk. Decoration: worked on a fine grid of starched linen, visible on the inside along the seams. Next to the grid, buttonhole stitch and stem stitch have been applied to the cotton. Some edges are worked over a raised cotton area for relief.
