About this work

Balloon sleeve, so-called Mameluke sleeve of fine cotton with three lace inserts and a cuff of applied tulle. The model is three-quarter length with three balloons and vertically placed inserts. At the top, a hem with an elastic band. The inserts are doubled, woven, and composed of five-hole mesh lace. At the bottom, a hanging gathered lace strip of appliqué lace on tulle, Carrickmacross, with a running vine of lilies and leaves forming the points.
