About this work
Dress for a doll of fine batiste with bow galloon and eyelet edgings. Empire/Restoration. Model: short bodice, gathered multiple times at the front, smooth but drawstring at the back. Wide square neckline with wing strip, transitioning at the back into a collar. Half puff sleeves, gathered at a tight cuff. Long straight skirt with open back. Decoration: edges embroidered with corded eyelets using open eyelet stitching, with bow edging underneath, also along neckline, collar, sleeves, hem. The dress is white.
