Bonnet of Dark Purple Velvet with a Strip of Black Parisian Lace and a Bow of Violet Satin Ribbon

Doll bonnet, "Capote", of dark purple velvet, with black bobbin lace strip and violet satin ribbon. Empire-Restoration. Model: stiff base and canopy. Small, flat round cap and long, coconut-shaped canopy, with smooth sewn-on velvet and with the lace strip in the opening and inside the canopy sewn ribbons, which close under the chin with hook and eye in sewn-on loops of the bow. Decoration. 1. Black strip of bobbin lace: Parisian lace (linen stroke on Parisian ground and contour threads). 2. A sewn-on back bow of satin ribbon, with woven ribbed stripes. 3. Between cap and canopy three diagonal satin bias strips are sewn in. Condition: Only the closing ribbons are somewhat worn. One of the satin bias strips is a bit loose.
