About this work

Two black ruffles wound around a rose-shaped piece of cardboard: one pleated, double-folded ruffle in three layers of machine-made black/white/black tulle with a black georgette border, and one smooth, diagonally cut bias band of black silk crêpe with a ribbed texture, once sewn shut and turned inside out.
