About this work

Waistcoat of official dress, white cotton piqué. Medium-long waistcoat, front panels cut to points and obliquely to the side. Four blank buttons with crowned W. Low neck opening with fixed, rounded shawl collar. Two pockets and a watch pocket on the left. White cotton back and lining. Back straps with buckle, on which engraved: M.S. DE JONG and sewn-in address band. Address: M.S. de JONG/ARNHEM, 's-GRAVENHAGE/AMSTERDAM/ UTRECHT. Noted in inlet: 20/9 '13/(no.) 23024/Jhr. Mr. H. Gevers.
