About this work

Curtain valance (A, B, C) of imitation chintz, printed on sturdy white cotton with a wide border pattern of wavy twigs with palmette and rosette flowers and birds in red, cerise, pink and grey-blue with purple streaks, framed in narrower red borders with a similar pattern, namely with double winding twigs, rosette flowers and blossoms printed on a white ribbon. In each shell a leaf. Dividing borders in light blue and pink with winding vines. France or Alsace? Ca. 1900-1925.
