Strip of black machine-made lace with dragonflies

Strip of black machine-made lace: machine-made Chantilly lace. The repeating pattern consists of two, almost placed directly above each other, flying dragonflies. The wings of the upper dragonfly are more directed upwards and those of the lower dragonfly sideways. A sparse, split rose branch with some flowers and leaves springs from the bottom of the strip at a wavy line, which consists of a string of rose branches. Under each wave peak hangs a curved short decorative band with a square grid. The motifs are provided with contour threads and are connected by a machine-made tulle ground, which is sown with mosses. As decorative ground a machine-made rose ground is applied among others in the curved decorative band and in the flower hearts. The curved decorative band forms the shell edge under the tops of the continuous wavy rose branches, which is finished with picots. The upper side of the strip is finished straight.
